Assist Customers with their Application

To assist customers with their application, start by locating your customer. If they already designated you as their assister, they will be listed in your active customer list. 

Open the “Individuals” dropdown at the top of the screen and select “Active Individuals”. If you’re an agency manager or independent broker, use the “My Delegations” drop down and click “Active Individuals”. 

Use the search box to find the customer. To narrow your search, click the “See All” link for more search fields. Once you find your customer, click their name. You will land on the client’s details page. It includes a summary of your customer’s household and coverage details, and it is where you will access their portal. 

To get there, click the “View Household Details” button. Click “Individual View” to proceed. You are now in the customer’s portal. You will be able to complete their application and select a plan on their behalf. Look for important next steps to complete the customer’s application at the top of their dashboard. 

If you’re assisting someone new who hasn’t added you as their assister or created a BeWell account, click Quick Link “Search Assisting Consumers” on the left of your dashboard. Be sure to check the box confirming you have permission to search on their behalf. Then complete all required fields to verify their identity and click “Continue”. 

Next, you’ll see the “Fetch Existing Customer” page. You can search using either the customer’s social security number and date of birth or switch to search by name if needed. 

Once you’ve entered the required information, click “Search” to continue. If no match is found, you’ll see a message letting you know that the customer couldn’t be located in the system. To move forward, click “Start New” application. 

On the next screen, enter the customer’s information. If possible, collect their e-mail address. BeWell will send them an account activation e-mail so they can complete the setup of their account. Click “Start”, then select “Individual View” to enter the customer portal. You’ll see that under your assister dropdown; you’re already set as their assister. No extra steps needed. 

When you’re ready to help your customer with their application, click “Start New Application” and when you are ready to get back to your own portal, click the “My Account” at the top of the page.
